Coombe Lodge was built between 1928 and 1932 for the Wills family of Bristol who ran the W.D. & H.O. Wills Tobacco Company. The Sir George Oatley designed 'E' shaped building in the Jacobean style was to be the family home of the Wills until the early 1960's. Oatley famously designed the Wills Memorial Building of Bristol University atop Park Street, Bristol and several factories for J.S. Fry & Sons the Bristol based chocolate maker.
Coombe Lodge has long since been converted to an elegant venue for conferences and weddings set amongst the beauty of the Mendip Hills on the outskirts of the village of Blagdon in Somerset, some seven miles south of Bristol.
Larimar manufactured, supplied and installed a range of custom period furniture pieces for the dining room, conference rooms, lounges and the 'Bridal Suite' as well as carpeting and draperies.
